From the 28th to 30th of April, is organized the “Training of Technicians on Good Practices in Refrigeration”, in the “Majestic” Hotel premises, Durres. In this seminar participated 28 technicians from service sector of refrigeration, mainly from Durres city and the areas close to it and 24 of them received certificate of participation. Almost all the technicians work on site by performing direct services to refrigerators and air conditioning appliances. They work on different companies or are self-employed.

During the first day of the seminar were addressed topics related with the knowledge  on the “Protection of the Ozone Layer”, “Vienna Convention”, “Montreal Protocol”, “ODS Legislation – national response”, “HPMP at national level to phase – out HCFCs”, where the ability of the university lecturers was coordinated with the NOPIU staff experience. It was also addressed very well the topic “Review of basic concepts in RAC sector” from Professor Angjelin Shtjefni.

The participants in the seminar, showed a great interest and raised questions and discussions after each presentation. Also the long experience near NOPIU of Mr. Skender Basha, made his presentations very special and interesting in the first day of the seminar – “Synthetic HFCs as alternative refrigerants to HCFCs” and “Natural refrigerants as alternative to HFCFs”.

During the second day, continued the theoretical presentation related with “Good practices in refrigeration sector”. The participant’s interest was mainly concentrated in “Recovery, Recycling and Reclaim of refrigerants” and “Review of tools and equipments used in servicing of refrigeration appliances”. The participants discussed for a long time after each presentation. In the conclusion of the second day, the participants in the seminar completed the theoretical test.

In the third day, it was organized the practice with groups made of three technicians. Each group performed the practice using all the equipments from the start until the end of the process. The third day of the seminar is considered the most interesting day by the participants as it was related directly with their everyday work.

The seminar was concluded by making the respective conclusions and also with the certificate issuing ceremony.
