   TRAINING OF TECHNICIANS ON GOOD PRACTICES IN REFRIGERATION

                   29 – 30 October, University “PAVARESIA”, Vlore

 

From the 29th to 30th of October, it was organized the “Training of Technicians on Good Practices in Refrigeration”, in the private University “Pavaresia” premises, Vlore( one of the best conference room in the city). In this seminar took part 34 technicians from service sector of refrigeration, mainly from Vlora city and Fier city. Only 23 of them received certificate of participation. Almost all the technicians work on site by performing direct services to refrigerators and air conditioning appliances. They work on different companies or are self-employed. In the seminar took part also some students from “Industrial School PAVARESIA”, Vlore.

During the first day of the seminar were addressed topics related with the knowledge on the “Protection of the Ozone Layer”, “Vienna Convention”, “Montreal Protocol”, “ODS Legislation”, “HPMP at national level to phase – out HCFCs”, where Ms. Vita Koja, Proffesor in the Economic University of Tirana and NOPIU staff did a very good job.

The participants in the seminar, showed especially a great interest and raised questions and discussions after the presentations: – “Review of basic concepts in RAC sector”, Synthetic HFCs as alternative refrigerants to HCFCs” and “Natural refrigerants as alternative to HFCFs”. Mr. Skender Basha, consultant with a long experience near NOPIU explained and answered all the questions raised from the participants.

The first day continued with the theoretical presentation related with “Good practices in refrigeration sector”. The participant’s interest was mainly concentrated in “Recovery, recycling and reclaim of refrigerants”. Mr. Ilir Palushi explained very well and answered all the questions in details. “Review of tools and equipments used in servicing of refrigeration appliances” was also very interesting presentation from Mr. Melsen Lamaj. The participants discussed for a long time after each presentation. In the conclusion of the first day, the participants in the seminar completed the theoretical test.

During the second day, it was organized the practice with groups made of three technicians. Each group performed the practice using all the equipments from the start until the end of the process. The second day of the seminar may be considered the most interesting day by the participants as it was related directly with their everyday work.

The seminar was concluded by making the respective conclusions and also with the certificate issuing ceremony.
