Ozone Day activities in “Protagonistët” elementary school located in the capital city.

On the 15^th of September 2017, the representatives of NOU and the Ministry of Environment carried out an interesting activity in “Protagonistet” elementary school located in the capital city. The activity was organized under the motto: “Caring for all life under the sun”.  In the first part of the activity were displayed videos for small children such as “Guardians of the Galaxy: Ozone Heroes (2017)”, “Ozzy Ozone” and “Ozone Layer & Hole” . NOU representatives in cooperation with the teachers of the schools  explained to the children what is the ozone layer  and why it should be protected.

In the second part of the activity, the painting exhibition was organized with works of pupils of the school. There were presented 50 paintings in this exhibition. Some of the works were presented in the park where the children discussed about the message they convey. Meanwhile the other paintings were presented in the premises of the school.  In the pupil’s paintings prevailed the love for a healthier life, their desire to protect the ozone layer and the message for a common effort toward this direction. What stood out in the works presented in the exhibition was the appeal that the pupils addressed to parents and teachers: “Protect yourself from the sun”. At the end of the activity the children played and danced in a circle and made common movements together with their teachers under the music. The pupils and the teachers were rewarded with T-shirts with the logo of World Ozone Day 2017.

The director of the “Protagonisti” elementary school, Mrs. Tatjana Dodbiba highlighted that information and education of children through entertainment is a success, which reaches also their families. The activities carried out in this school have informed the children in a creative and entertaining way, having in consideration that it is better to prevent than to cure. At the end all posters, “Ozzy Ozone”, “Ozone Heroes” comic books and games, information bulletins were distributed to all pupils and teachers.
