The first stakeholder meeting under “Albania KIP Preparation” on November 15, 2022, in Tirana.

The first meeting of interest groups  of “Albania KIP Preparation”   took place on  November 15, 2022,  in  Tirana. The meeting was attended by Mr. Halvart Koeppen, Coordinator of the Montreal Protocol Network for Europe and Central Asia, OzonAction, and Mr. Fukuya Iino, Montreal Protocol Department, UNIDO. This meeting was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Environment, the National Environment Agency, the General Directorate of Customs, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Professional College of Tirana, “Barleti” University, the Agricultural University of Tirana, Associations of the Sector of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Association of Engineers and Architects, private businesses, national consultants, etc.

In this meeting, the components and activities of “ALB KIP Preparation” were discussed, as well as legislation on fluorinated greenhouse gases, the importance of collecting accurate HFC data, safety standards and energy efficiency within the Amendment Kigali.
