Awareness Event at “Petro Nini Luarasi” High School – 16 September 2025

On World Ozone Day 2025, an inspiring awareness event was held at “Petro Nini Luarasi” High School in Tirana, gathering 25 students and three teachers, under the guidance of the school’s director.

The program began with presentations on World Ozone Day, the Montreal Protocol, the Kigali Amendment, and the Vienna Convention, which highlighted the global efforts made to protect the ozone layer and the climate. But what gave life to the event was the active involvement of students, who asked thoughtful questions and shared their own reflections on how daily choices can make a difference.

Through interactive discussions, educational videos, and multimedia content, the scientific concepts of ozone depletion became tangible and accessible. Students expressed curiosity, concern, and optimism, showing that knowledge can inspire action. The atmosphere was both educational and motivating, leaving participants with a sense of responsibility toward the environment.

This event demonstrated once again that schools are key spaces where awareness transforms into engagement. By turning complex science into relatable lessons, students left the room not just informed, but empowered to become advocates for environmental protection in their families and communities.
