World Ozone Day 2022 – Meeting with technicians in RAC sector

On the 16th of September 2022, a meeting with technicians in RAC sector took place. This meeting was organize in cooperation with Ministry of Tourism and Environment, the “Europa House – EU Delagation” and RAC Associations. During the opening speech the NOU representative, unfolded a general overview of the role, goals, function of this institution and activities devoted to World Ozone Day 2022. The program included:

• Information about World Ozone Day 2022, Vienna Convention and Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone layer and the importance of the ozone layer protection. The NOU representative presented a material about “The importance of Ozone Layer protection for the benefits of human health and climate change”;
• Information and discussions regarding the draft F-gas Law, which is being discussed in parliamentary committees. There were many discussions at the meeting, where the technicians expressed their concerns about the problems that may occour from the implementation of the law. They also suggested ways to improve the law before its final approval.
