This training workshop was organized by NOU in cooperation with “Harry Fultz” Institute in Tirana. It was attended by 16 students of the vocational school and all of them received “Certificates of Attendance”. 

 

During the first part of the activity, the following issues have been discussed: 

 

  • Ozone Layer Protection. Vienna Convention and Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer  
  • Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol: HFC Phase-down
  • HCFC Phase-down and HFC Alternatives. Climate-friendly alternatives to HFCs and HCFCs
  • Managing Covid 19 and RAC&HP sector
  • Energy efficiency in the context of the Montreal Protocol and its Kigali Amendment
  • Safety Standards and risk management
  • Requirements and standard methods for leakage control

 

The second part of the activity focused on the practical training and exercises to provide a better understanding of RAC&HP systems, to improve the performance and efficiency of such systems and to apply good practices in this sector. During the second day the participants were divided into groups of 2 – 3 persons (due to anti-Covid-19  measures)  and each of the technicians has done the practice with one of the trainers.
