Activities with the children of the Community Center of Shkoza on the occasion of World Ozone Day, September 16, 2020

On the 16th of September 2020, the representatives of the National Ozone Unit and the Ministry of Tourism and Environment carried out the awareness campaign “OZONE FOR LIFE – 35 years of ozone layer protection” devoted to the 16th of September 2020 – World Ozone Day. The main purpose of the campaign was to attract the attention of the students toward the information about the protection of Ozone Layer and the factors which have caused the damage of the Ozone layer. The actions were held at “Arben Brozi ” high school and “Harry Fultz” Institute in Tirana.
During the first part of these events, a number of awareness activities were held. The program included:
– An open lecture on “35 years ozone layer protection” and “Vienna Convention and Montreal Protocol on substances that deplete the ozone layer”;
– Information about the World Ozone Day and presentation of theme and poster for the World Ozone Day 2020;
– Videos about the importance of Ozone layer protection – “World Ozone Day 2020 – Ozone for life” and “Whatever happened to the ozone hole” were displayed.
During the second part of the events, the students were rewarded with T-shirts with the logo of World Ozone Day 2020 and were gifted pens, notebooks, and printed information prepared by NOU
