The celebrations of World Ozone Day 2025 in Albania began with a vibrant painting exhibition held in Tirana, organized by the National Ozone Unit (NOU) under the global theme “From Science to Global Action”.
Students from several secondary schools participated, each presenting artworks that transformed scientific concepts into colorful messages of hope and responsibility. Their paintings spoke about the fragility of the ozone layer, the urgency of climate action, and the shared duty of humanity to protect the environment.
The exhibition hall was filled with creativity and youthful energy, where visitors could see how science was interpreted through the imagination of children. Beyond the artistic value, the event highlighted the role of young generations as true ambassadors of environmental protection. The participation of students not only encouraged dialogue on sustainability but also inspired families, teachers, and the broader community to reflect on how small everyday actions can contribute to safeguarding the ozone layer and reducing the impacts of climate change.
This first celebration marked a symbolic step: when children’s voices and brushes come together with scientific knowledge, awareness turns into action.
