RAC Technician Training: Best Practices in Servicing and Maintenance

As part of the promotion and dissemination of the “Manual on Safety Standards and Good Practices for Natural Flammable Refrigerants”, a series of on-site training visits was conducted during November – December 2025.
These practical sessions were organized in small groups of technicians and trainers to ensure hands-on learning and safe practice. Participants had the opportunity to perform system checks, detect leaks, and apply recovery and recycling procedures directly on installed refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.
The training visits took place at a range of real-life operational sites, including:
- Toptani Shopping Center
- Arredo FAB
- Birra Tirana
- Pallati i Kongreseve
- Hotel Tirana International
- Phyramid,
- Birra “Stela”
- “Delijorgji” Building, etc
These on-site sessions were critical in bridging theory and practice, allowing participants to apply the safety standards and good practices described in the Manual under real working conditions. They also fostered knowledge exchange among trainers and technicians, strengthening the RAC sector’s overall capacity to safely handle natural flammable refrigerants.
The hands-on experience gained during these visits is a key step toward safer, more efficient, and more environmentally responsible refrigeration and air-conditioning practices in Albania.
