03/04/2026Another group of refrigeration and air conditioning (RAC) technicians successfully completed the training and certification process according to European Union standards. The activity was held at Tirana College of Technology, in cooperation with Centro Studi Galileo (Italy) and with the support of the National Ozone Unit.
The technicians’ training sessions took place on 20, 21 and 22 April, while the theoretical and practical testing was conducted on 23 and 24 April. In order to ensure a high-quality and efficient process, participants were divided into two groups and underwent evaluation according to international professional standards.
The testing was conducted by international expert Antonio Fierro, a trainer and evaluator in the field of F-gases, who has been engaged for years in professional training and certification processes across Europe.
Centro Studi Galileo is considered one of the most renowned institutions in Europe for professional training and activities in the refrigeration, air conditioning and related technology sectors.
After successfully completing the testing process, the technicians received certificates recognized in the European Union and registered in the European technicians registry, providing participants with a professional qualification valid within the European labour market. With this latest group, the total number of Albanian technicians certified according to these standards over the last three years has reached 58.
This activity is part of the ongoing cooperation between the National Ozone Unit, international partners and professional education institutions to strengthen professional capacities in the RAC sector and prepare Albanian technicians according to international sector standards.
